WINDOW FILM

Drying Time

After completion of a new window film, it takes 2-3 days before rolling down or cleaning the windows. It will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather.

Black Dotted Edges

Most cars have a black ceramic edge on the side and rear windows; these ceramic edges are either straight and flat or will have a dotted edge. The black ceramic edges are quite thick on most cars which will prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots, resulting in a whitish-looking strip trimming the glass, unfortunately, the effects are unavoidable.

Shade / Color

There are no refunds due to the look / color once a client chooses and film is installed.

Film, Badge, & Decal Removal

Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and defroster to be damaged. By authorizing to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against POLISHED TO PERFECTION, and agrees that will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.

Imperfections

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every window film application, also pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the window are tinted. Older vehicles will have more imperfections due to age.

Windshield Film Installation

There will be minor imperfections present in every windshield installation. It will be easier to see due to the film being installed on the front windshield. Do not apply any decals, or windshield accessories on the windshield for 7 days. There will be no refund or warranty coverage on the rainbow effect due to wearing polarized sunglasses.

Florida Law

Customers installing VLT not approved by Florida law has released POLISHED TO PERFECTION from all liability.

PAINT PROTECTION FILM

About Paint Protection Film

The paint protection film is designed to protect your vehicle’s paint from chips, scratches, swirl marks, and is 8 mils thick. PPF is applied to the exterior of your vehicle’s paint. The PPF is warrantied for 10 years from yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delamination. The PPF warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents or from objects that hit or penetrated the film.

Drying Time

Your new paint protection film will take 3 - 4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Do not wash your vehicle for 5 days. Vehicles should be returned for inspection within 2-4 weeks.

Condition of vehicle for paint protection film installation

The vehicle cannot have any paint protection coatings on it such as ceramic coatings. These can affect the effectiveness of the adhesion and may cause lifting, bubbles, and other issues. The client is aware that the design of the PPF is for OEM factory paint. The client waives and releases POLISHED TO PERFECTION from any warranty or damage claims where a product has been applied to a non-OEM paint surface.

Paint

Paint may lift on repainted panel/OEM paint if improperly prepped and painted. By authorizing POLISHED TO PERFECTION to proceed with the install, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against POLISHED TO PERFECTION, and agrees that POLISHED TO PERFECTION will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.

Paint Chips

PPF is to prevent your vehicle from future paint chip damage. PPF installation over paint chips will look like contamination after the install due the unevenness of the paint surface. We do not recommend touchup on small paint chips due to the aesthetics of the install thereafter.

Installation

All PPF kits are computer cut using cutting software. Pre-cut kits involve stopping short of edges, edges around badges, washers, and other parts. The customer understands that PPF is a sacrificial layer for your car, not a completely invisible or matte layer. Customers may choose to have custom design fit or bulk install for an additional fee.

Exposed Edges and Seams

Although we strive to wrap all edges, some cannot be wrapped. Debris build-up over time on exposed edges/seams will be more visible on white/light-colored vehicles. Partial installs will have more noticeable debris due to exposed edges. We recommend ceramic coating your vehicle to reduce debris build-up. There is no warranty or reapplication of the film due to debris build-up.

Headlights

Headlights are not recommended for PPF installation due to HID feature and exterior coating. By authorizing POLISHED TO PERFECTION to proceed with headlight film installation, the customer hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against POLISHED TO PERFECTION, and agrees that POLISHED TO PERFECTION will not be liable.

Film, Badge, & Decal Removal

Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and defroster to be damaged. By authorizing POLISHED TO PERFECTION to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against POLISHED TO PERFECTION, and agrees that POLISHED TO PERFECTION will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.

Imperfections

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every PPF application, also pre-existing flaws, scratches, and rock chips on the paint are often much more noticeable after the PPF is installed. Paint Protection Film will have minor imperfections like orange peel. The used and older vehicle will have more imperfections due to its age.

CERAMIC COATINGS

Curing Time

Your new Ceramic Coating will take 10 days to fully cure and 4 hours to dry after the last layer of an application. Do not wash your vehicle until the curing process is complete. Your vehicle can only be hand washed thereafter to maintain coating performance. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranties.

Water Spots

Washing vehicles with unfiltered water, especially in the sun, can cause water spot stains. The client understands that the longer the water spots are left on the vehicle, the harder it will be to remove them. POLISHED TO PERFECTION will not be liable in the event that water spot damage does occur.

Condition of Vehicle for Ceramic Coating

It is recommended that all new or used vehicles have paint correction done before being coated. The client acknowledges that the ceramic coating on uncorrected areas will be less effective than corrected areas. By waiving this additional service, the client understands that the coating will be less effective on areas that have not been painted corrected.

Film, Badge, & Decal Removal

Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the substrate to be damaged. By authorizing POLISHED TO PERFECTION to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against POLISHED TO PERFECTION, and agrees that POLISHED TO PERFECTION will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.

Paint Correction

Paint correction will remove most light scratches, swirls, marring, and minor marks on the vehicle’s clear coat. The client understands that even though we strive for perfection, some degree of scratching, swirls, and minor marks are present after the paint correction process.

Wet Sanding

Wet sanding is used to remove the top layer of a vehicle’s clear coat. Because of the risks associated with wet sanding, POLISHED TO PERFECTION only uses this technique when there are only 2 options for the affected area: wet sand or repaint. Therefore, POLISHED TO PERFECTION assumes no responsibility for repair to the affected areas should wet sanding cause additional damage. It is highly recommended that after a vehicle has been wet sanded, that Ceramic Coatings be applied to replenish the clear coat to the vehicle’s paint.

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating is a SIO2 (Silicon dioxide) ceramic coating providing protection against UV and making your vehicle easier to clean. I understand that the coating is not scratch-proof. It is recommended that vehicles get paint protection film (clear bra) on bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors before coating to prevent rock chips.

Windshield

Client understands that weather conditions will affect the degree and time of protection. There is no warranty on durability on windshield coating.

Interior Coating

If any liquid or substance gets on the upholstery, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance remains on the upholstery, staining may occur. There is no warranty on the staining of your vehicle’s interior.

Wheels Off Coating

If any brake dust or road debris is on wheels and calipers, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance stays on, staining may occur on wheels and calipers. Wheel coating is not recommended for bare aluminum wheels, therefor bare aluminum wheels will not be coated. If you want to proceed with the coating, there will be no warranty given on bare aluminum wheels. There is a 2-year warranty for wheels and calipers. The client is responsible for re-torquing the wheels to vehicle manufacturer torque specifications.

Maintenance & Annual Inspections

We recommend washing your vehicle bi-weekly. Annual Inspections are recommended after the install date to ensure that the coating has been maintained and cared for properly.

Safety & Security Film

Safety & Security film is a polyester film that relies on thickness to mitigate hazards from shattered glass due to natural and human causes. Due to the film’s thickness, minor imperfections are more noticeable than standard films while also increasing cure times. The client understands there will be minor imperfections in and under safety and security film installations and holds Polished to Perfectionharmless in such instances.

Client understands Safety & Security Window Films are not hurricane-proof, earthquake-proof, bullet-proof, bomb-proof, nor burglar-proof. Again, they are designed to make the window glass more shatter-resistant.

In the event of a windstorm and or earthquake, these films may have significant safety and security value. They can reduce the risk of injury from flying shards of broken glass, and possibly help prevent debris and water penetration through the window depending on the severity of the storm or quake (and the type of glass, framing system, size and velocity of objects, and more).

Bullets: these films are not designed to stop bullets.

Safety & Security Window Films were originally developed to address international concerns and needs for improved safety and security against terrorist acts of bombings. These films can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury from flying shards of glass due to blasts, however, much depends upon the severity of the blast and the proximity of the window glass to the blast (and glass type, framing system, and more too).

Safety & Security Window Films are a low profile, high performance measure of security in the battle against ‘smash and grab’ crime. Security films provide a barrier, so penetration becomes difficult and time-consuming to the point they give up without entering the premises.  It is generally recommended that the property have proper alarm systems in addition to Safety & Security Window Film.

In the rare occurrence of any of the above events, the client understands the usage of safety and security film and holds Polished to Perfectionharmless in such instances.

Privacy Film

Privacy film can be subtle to bold as the film goes from translucent to opaque. The matte, blackout, and mirror films limit views through glass on the building interior. Blackout/Opaque film provides the ultimate in privacy. Translucent films provide subtle privacy with enhanced aesthetics. Dark colored film will be difficult to view-through during daytime lighting conditions from the exterior, but in darker nighttime conditions and with an interior light source, privacy is lost as the light from the inside allows for visibility from the outside. The client understands these limitations as there are no refunds upon completion of such application.

Solar Film

Solar and Energy efficient films are available in different shades ranging from virtually clear 70% to a dark 5%. The Client understands that there are no refunds once film shade is selected and installed.

Decorative & Frosted Film

Used for interior decor or privacy, the Client understands that there are no refunds once a pattern is selected and installed.

Obstacles to Installation

Polished to Perfectionis strictly a window film installation sales and service company. Polished to Perfectionis not required to move furniture, blinds, equipment, and or other obstacles that may affect installation of window film(s). Clients are encouraged to clear such obstacles prior to installation or may have Polished to Perfectionis technicians make necessary arrangements while incurring an extra charge.

Equipment

The client understands that additional charge(s) may be incurred to acquire specialized installation equipment to install window film such as scaffolding, scissor lifts, and etc. for the project.

Exterior Window(s)

Polished to Perfectionis solely responsible for the windows that are being serviced as Polished to Perfectionis not required to clean the exterior windows of a completed project as we do not offer window cleaning services.

Glass Breakage

The Client understands that choosing to install window film outside of recommended specs may increase the stress factor of a glass and can result in glass breakage.

Light Gap

All installed window films are cut at the edge of a window’s trim. The Client understands that there will be light gap between the film and trim which is easier to see it when film is darker.

Imperfections

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, there will be some degree of dust contamination and/or minor imperfections that are present in every window film application due to working environment and conditions out of our control. The Client understands such conditions exist as well as pre-existing flaws or scratches on glass that may become noticeable post installation. Older homes or buildings tend to have more imperfections due to age.

Wooden Frames

During the prep and installation process paint chipping can occur if there is excessive paint on the glass. Paint bubbling/wood swelling can occur due to moisture condensation which can also soften the paint around the seals. Wooden frames also tend to have more imperfections in the install due to unavoidable amount of debri caused by the wooden frames. Client understands these risks and holds Polished to Perfectionnot responsible if any occurs.

Removal

Window film removal may cause the glass, paint, or frame to be damaged. By authorizing Polished to Perfectionto proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Texas Tint Boutique, and agrees that Polished to Perfectionwill not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
